I think that our local government should help us persons with disability to get a better education and find a job.Not only for those who are fortunate and had the privilage to get up to college but also to those who hadfinished college but also those who are undegraduates, high school and those who only took up short term courses.I think it should be the government that should be putting us in certain companies or mall anf that there should be a dialect between the government and the target companies and malls where persons with disability may find a job cause we too have the right to work just like any other normal person. i truely pray that there would be a respond to this matter of mine thanks and God bless!

Hi! Sa pagkakaalam ang bawat school sa bawat city ay may sped pero kung gusto mo na may specialization or hindi naka mix ang anak mo sa ibang disabled why do’t you try batino elementary school in proj 2, quezon city (at the back of good sheperd convent located) my daughter (deaf mute) is in grade 5 now in Batino you can search sa internet with regards to other school.

    @Julius J. Colinares,

I agree, my son is in Batino SPED Center in the CWA (Children with Autism)class. But before you enroll you need to have your child assessed, that is if he can adjust to the school environment. I suggest you visit Batino the Principal is Dr. Parungao. It would also be good if you become a member of the Autism Society of the Philippines (ASP), they have free Parental Support Group sessions that really helped us a lot in coping with Autism & its challenges. We hope to see you in Batino or ASP soon, any child with Autism we consider our own son or daughter, God Bless You!

I am a mother of a 10-year old son with Autism and Speech delayed problem. We have been trying to find for a speech therapist but there seems a problem with queueing to avail of the service of a speech therapist. Can MSWD in Cavite hire therapist (through the help of Congressman Pidi Barzaga and Honorable Mayor Jenny Barzaga of Dasmarinas, Cavite) that could handle OT and Speech classes so special children with such cases could avail of the service at lesser cost? We understand that enrolling your child to special institutions offering such services is very costly and we cannot afford to provide one for our son. WE would appreciate it so much if MSWD-Cavite could write a proposal to Congressman Barzaga for possible assistance so a regular speech therapist and occupational therapist be available to serve persons with disabilities in the areas of Cavite.
We hope this request would be looked into and be given appropriate consideration. Thank you very much and Kudos to NCDA for coming up with a website such as this. Congratulations!

I am currently studying law in one of the universities in Manila. At present, am having difficulty raising money for the second semester. I would like to ask if I can avail the necessary educational scholarship as I am a person with disability and if I am not mistaken, the law, RA 9442 grants scholarship to PWDs who are studying.

Thank you very much and anticipating your reply on my query.

my son was diagnosed of ASD, and he is now attending his OT therapy for 30 sessions.
he’s also lined up for a speech therapy session.
he also needs nutritionist since he’s only 15 kls. with an age of 5.1 yrs old.
i want to ask if the city hall government (muntinlupa) has a
financial assistance that can offer to us since all these therapy
    sessions cost us a lot.
    thank you.

I just wanted to know if you have links for scholarship grants to persons with disabilities, particularly masteral programs, from schools overseas, e.g. Australian National University and all other prestigeous universities overseas.

Postgraduate studies for competent persons with disabilities would be a great help to hone one’s skills in organizing and pursuing unrelentless efforts as well as advocacy for the welfare, benefit and best interests of PWD’s, which are often neglected or just taken for granted by many exisitng institutions, government or otherwise. Learning institutions abroad aside from being sensitive to the needs and welfare of these unfortunate groups in our society [which predicament are attributed to their having physical disabilities.], are far more advanced in instituting schemes, in terms of legislation and social services, research studies.

It will be hgihly appreciated if you can extend your utmost assistance on this matter,

    Thanks a lot, I am

Besides the administrator can transfer me to Non-teaching position considering that I am a Licensed Fiahery Technoilogist/Biologist.

I have an 8 yrs old daughter who has ADHD. According to her doctor, she may be enrolled in a regular school but limited to small class only (like maximum of 15 students only). She is currently enrolled at Pail & Shovel Integrated School. It is a reuglar progressive school accepting kids with ADHD. My daughter has improved a lot from this school. But the problem is the tuition and miscellaneous fee is very high. And also my daughter has to attend sped tutorial and OT once a week, which also cost a lot to me. I am only working as a government employee, to be specific as admin. aide only. My daughter still wants to study in that school and also the have sped tutorial and OT at the same center. But honestly, as i have computed my salary and all my benefits and also the loan privileges, I could not really afford the amount of the school’s tution fee. I am a solo parent now. I’ve been separated for several years. It’s really difficult for me to meet the needs of my special daughter. I am asking, pleading for an institution or an individual (a good samaritan) to please sponsor the education of my daughter or financial assistance for her education. I am pleading for my daughter. Please help me for the benefit of my daughter. Thank you and God bless.

I have an epileptic sister, 47 & epileptic brother, 31, both of them share the same medication which is really costly for us since Im the only one supporting their medications. I tried inquiring in several schools but they rejected them due to their ages. I know there is a institution that can assist PWD.
