NCDA Awards Certificates to LGUs for issuing IDs to Persons With Disabilities

The National Council on Disability Affairs awards the certificates of recognition of top Local Government Units (LGU) in issuing Identification Cards to Persons with Disabilities during the 1st Disability Summit held at Manila Pavilion Hotel, September 24, 2009.
The recipients of the awards are as follows:
- MUNICIPALITY OF OBANDO, BULACAN – FIRST LOCAL GOVERNMENT UNIT ISSUING IDS TO PWDs, Mayor Orencio Gabriel, represented by Ms. Elaine Benicarlo, Executive Secretary to the Mayor
- CITY OF MANILA – LGU WITH THE MOST NUMBER OF IDs ISSUED, Mayor Alfredo Lim, represented by Mr. Jay Dela Fuente, Head – Manila Department of Social Welfare
The certificates were awarded by Ms. Geraldine Ruiz, Executive Director of NCDA together with NCDA Assistant Secretary Nora Salazar and Assistant Secretary Ma. Lourdes Baua of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).
