    Dear Sec. Soliman,

I understand that there are added benefits to senior citizens in the expanded senior citizen’s act. That is what I learned when I attended the quarterly meeting on senior citizens. However, there are drug stores, big at that, that do not give the 20% discount on vitamins and medical supplies.

May I know if I am entitled to a 20% discount on Ultima C (vitamins) and Polident (for cleaning false teeth)? Kindly answer my email or just ask a staff in your office to answer me and I will present that answer to the drug company where we buy our medicines and medical supplies.

    Thank you very much.

    Sr. Remy R. Centeno, D.C.

    Good Day!

I am a former municipal link assigned in Pinamalayan Oriental Mindoro and was now a staff nurse in OMPH. Parent leaders play a very important role in the implementation of Pantawid Pamilya Program and one of our parent leaders in Pinamalayan who is very hardworking to help our beneficiaries to comply to the conditions set by the program is now suffering from a disease. She was diagnosed of having Stage III Cancer of the Uterus with i think (cardiomegaly and baradong puso as the husband stated) of and now confined in Oriental Mindoro Provincial Hospital. She also confined in Phil. General HOspital expecting nanay caren to undergo operation but then after 29 days of confinement and observation she was advised to go home because according to them nanay caren also have a heart disease that if she undergo operation doctor’s will take risks between life and death. They lose hope and the pain that nanay caren experienced becomes worst each day that she cant tolerate anymore that’s why she was now confined at OMPH. They don’t know what to do or think, I feel the pain yet i Can’t do anything about it that’s why i tried this just hoping anyone can help. I have a picture of her or you can contact Oriental mindoro provincial hospital. Patient name Carina Ituralde of Pinamalayan Oriental Mindoro.

    Dear Ms. Soliman,

    Rowila Damian Aguinaldo

    To: Sec. Corazon “Dinky” Soliman
Department of Social Welfare and Development

Re: Complaint: Non-recognition of the three (3) Day Care Centers

    Madam:

    Greetings!

This is to complain to your good office that the three (3) Day Care Centers of Doña Telesfora, Tubay, Agusan del Norte have not been recognized by the Municipal Social Welfare Development Office-Tubay, thru the MSWDO, Ms, Evelita Eslabon-Regis.

Although, the said department has been well-informed about the operation of the 3 Day Care Centers, she has also been furnished the copies of the appointments and oath of office of the installed Day Care Workers, and a copy of resolution, earnestly requesting them for the trainings and seminars for the enhancement of the Day Care Workers’ capacity as motherly teachers towards the Day Care Children, yet she didn’t give the favor.

The members of the Barangay Council had already done their part. They brought up all these to the DSWD-Caraga Region but it seemed that they can do nothing about these.

Moreover, the said Day Care Centers have not received any supplemental feeding program from the DSWD where it supposed to help prevent/mitigate nutrition deficiency among Day Care Children.

Thus, i am respectfully and humbly requesting you to do further investigation about this.

    With so much thanks!

Please hide my identity for security purposes. Rumors and hearsays reveal that these are political maneuvers of the Municipal Mayor.

    God bless!

    Respectfully yours,

    JULIOUS REY A. DONQUE
