The Japan Society for Rehabilitation of Persons with Disabilities (JSPRD) is calling for applications to a 10-month training opportunity for young people with disabilities in the Asia Pacific Region for the year 2012-2013. This program is designed for persons with disabilities in the Region who have potential to become leaders in their communities.
To help achieve their goals, this program provides an opportunity for participants to learn about welfare measures, policies and services for persons with disabilities in Japan, and thus improve their knowledge and skills on similar concerns relevant to their own countries. It is sponsored by the Duskin AINOWA Foundation as one of the projects commemorating the Asian and Pacific Decade of Disabled Persons (1993-2002). Applications will be accepted until October 31, 2011.

I am a young man with physical disability. I am from TOGO, a small country of West Africa and I work for Togolese Federation of Persons with disability organisations.
I were looking for this nice opportunity of training to empoewer my capacities for my work. Unfortunately, Its seems like this program doesn’t concern african country.
I Would like the DUSKIN -LEADERSHIP authorities extend their program to African countries so that I can attend the program because It will be very interesting for me and finally for my organization and my country.
Try it because it’s a great need here in Africa and especially in Togo
See you
Best regards
I am waiting for your answer
Marc
