In celebration of the “International Day of Persons with Disabilities” (IDPD) the National Council on Disability Affairs and the Bigay Buhay Multipurpose Cooperative (BBMC) in partnership with private, government and civil society sector, will be conducting “Just 1: Multi-Sectoral Convergence for the Sustainable Livelihood and Employment of Persons with Disabilities”, to be held in Saint Paul University of Quezon City on December 3, 2014 from 8am to 5pm with the theme “Creating Enabling Working Environment for Persons with Disabilities”.

This activity is a two-fold project featuring the following: (1) Trade Fair Products made by persons with disabilities-December 2-5, Saint Paul University Quezon City, Covered Court, and (2) Forum on Sustainable Livelihood and Employment of Persons with Disabilities- December 3 (8am to 5pm), Saint Paul University Quezon City Auditorium.

Joining the event are over 1, 000 participants as follows: PWD product exhibitors, private employers, social enterprise investors (non-government organizations supporting social enterprise, microfinance institutions, cooperatives, bank institutions supporting SMEs), 17 city representatives of local chief executives, Metro Manila-based national and regional government offices and adjacent cities in Rizal and Bulacan, business employers associations, 17 Disabled People organizations of Metro Manila, representatives of PWD Cooperatives in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao, media organizations, academic institutions offering courses in social, SMEs, labor, ILO and other guests.
