The National Council on Disability Affairs (NCDA) partners with the Department of Transportation and Communications, Rotary Club of San Juan del Monte and Touch the Artist’s Vision (TAV) in undertaking a project called “Beyond Way Finding”.

The Rotary Club of San Juan del Monte/TAV will donate the first Braille Map Guide with audio narration and tactile indicators to be installed from the entrance gate of the departure level to the information counter of Gate 5 of NAIA 3, being a major gateway for both domestic and international travellers. The Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA), Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) and Civil Aeronautics Board (CAB) represent the land and air transportation.

The use of the latest advances utilizing assistive technologies will guide people with visual impairment allowing them independence and mobility in the said airport. The project will be launched on August 1, 2015 in celebration of the White Cane Safety Day.
